Due to some extraordinary events in the Milton School, we are offering special tours there through September 4th. Alixandria or David will take you to the places that have had some amazing manifestations. You'll go on an in-depth, 2-hour ghost hunt that travels familiar haunts, but also includes the Boys Shower Room and a trip to the Girls Shower Room, where a grisly discovery was made. There are three Dark Room Sessions during the tour. Make sure to bring flashlights and dress appropriately - the places we go are dark and not heated. The tours are on Saturday nights only and begin at 8:00 p.m. and last about two hours. Check our Event Calendar for dates and space availability and to make a reservation. All reservations must be paid in advance. The cost is $20 per person. Group size is 5 to 20 people. There must be paid reservations of at least five people one hour before tour is to begin or tour will be canceled. Guests meet at the Milton Road entrance to the school, doors open 15 minutes before tour begins. The address is 1320 Milton Road, Alton, Illinois 62002. This tour is NOT recommended for people who can not easily travel stairs or stand for a 2-hour period. There are no public restroom facilities available during the tour. Our usual tour policies apply: No smoking inside building, no refunds unless we cancel a tour, no alcohol, age limit is 14 years old, no videotaping without prior agreement. The Frightmare tour is available as a private tour. Private tours are $200 for 4 people, $40 per person after that, 20 person maximum. As a private tour, times and dates are flexible. Walking Tours of Downtown Alton Stroll the brick streets of Christian Hill and discover why the traumatic events of Alton’s past have made it one of the most haunted small towns in the USA. Antoinette’s Haunted Walking Tour features 13 locations with a history of paranormal activity. The walking tour includes a Dark Room Session in the stately Old Post Office, where a territorial Postmaster keeps watch over his domain. Walking tours are offered every Saturday night, May 15th through September 11th. The cost is $25 per person. Tours begin at 8 p.m. and last about two hours. The tour covers approximately one mile including a few moderate hills. Meet upstairs in Spirits Lounge, 300 State Street in Alton, IL 62002.
